Wooden Primitive Decor

Updated: Apr 20

A simple wooden box, no markings, and really dirty but holds so many possibilities. I picked this box up at an auction last spring. It was in a pile of thing pulled from a barn and it was filthy! A good scrubbing with soap and water made a world of difference.

I gave it a coat of Varathane Satin Exterior Polyurethane. I used exterior in case someone wanted to put potted plants in this or use it on a deck or porch as part of their decor.

It can be used to display a variety of items. It can be changed frequently to accomodate seasons and holidays.

It easily accomodates these quilted hearts which can be viewed on this post.

Whether my junk is from a garage sale, estate or farm auction, flea market or the side of the road, I love to find it, fix it, clean it, sell it or keep it. So come along the backroads of Indiana with Junk is My Life (me), let's find something vintage and do something cool with it! Formerly Junk Journal.
