Let it Snow...shovel

The snow will be here before we know it. It has already snowed here in Indiana a couple of weeks ago. No accumulations and no need for snow shovels—yet!

I picked this one up at a farm auction. I loved the wooden handle and the patina of the rusted metal scoop and handle.

I relied on the "Let it Snow" artwork form Boardandbattendesigns.com again.

Instead of applying the vinyl, I made a stencil and painted the design in a cream color. I put a coat of poly to seal it. I actually put a coat on to seal the rust before I painted it as well. All in all, it took less than 30 minutes.

This one sold at the open house yesterday. I have a couple more shovels in my stash. Looks like I need to dig them out and get busy!
