Not many people have a land line anymore. Who really needs one nowadays? And when was the last time you looked up number in a phone book? Google is our new phone book. At least it is for me. I picked up this cute little phone stand at a garage sale earlier this summer.
It was a little dirty, but it was solid. It has a cute little drawer.
I wasn't impressed with the drawer pull. It was awkward to grab it and pull.
It was also glued on to the front of the drawer at an angle. I have a stash of cute drawer pulls, so I popped it off of the drawer front.
I used Waverly chalk paint in the Cashew color. It took two coats.
I sanded the piece to distress it and then added a coat of Varathane Crystal Clear Satin Polyurethane.
After digging through my stash of drawer pulls, I selected this beauty. A glass knob with metal accents. I thought it complemented the piece well.
Then it was ready to go in the shop.
I used it in the window at The Standard in Bourbon, IN. We decorated with a fall/harvest theme in mind and this piece was a great way to add some height to the display. Hopefully it finds a new home soon!
