A Little Light Reading

This mid century coffee table was sturdy but very discolored. The edges were a little dinged up as well. But for $5, how can you pass this up?

I had an old dictionary, the kind that has illustrations with the definitions. It was falling apart, so I didn't feel badly about using the pages. I decoupaged the pages to the table. I wanted a vintage feel so I sealed it and then antiqued the top. The above photo shows part of the table antiques and part of it not finished yet.

I painted the legs black. It gave it a fresh look.

I really like how it turned out. Not only is it functional as a coffee table, you can work on your vocabulary as well!
